The 2nd Annual "Just a Few Friends" Celebration will also take place in Key West from August 29 to September 1.
From American Songwriter News: "It's been almost two years since Jimmy Buffett passed away, and there will be another festival to honor the late beloved singer-songwriter just as there was last year.
Not only are a variety of activities, events, and performances lined up, but Key West, Florida, is going to proclaim August 30th Jimmy Buffett Day, with a parade to follow one day later.
“This is about more than music,” Just a few Friends co-organizer Paul Menta said in a statement. “We honor Jimmy’s memory by immersing people in the island he loved—the people, the history, the sunsets, the flavors. It’s a celebration of a way of life.”
