September - Community Litter Pick

As the cooler weather arrives and work and school goes back to normal we can see the litter that has accumulated over the summer.

Our location this month will allow us to reach a large area of streets, hedgerow, parks and footpaths of the West side of Burton and possibly the pocket park if we have enough volunteers.

This month it would be great to see even more turn up to help, so tell your friends and in conjunction with the established Burton Latimer Litter Wombles we will continue clearing the streets (and spinneys) of our town as one team on the last Saturday of each month.

The pick will commence at 11:00 at the junction of Station Road and Glebe Road and it would be great to see you there.
Pickers, bags, hi viz and hoops will be available to borrow but please bring your own equipment along if you have it.

Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear gloves to protect your hands. A full safety briefing will be given on the day.
The organising team will remain at the start point for the duration of the pick so you can come along anytime between 11:00 and 13:00 and do as much or as little as you are able.
