Unleash your creativity through dance at Wicksteed Park!
Join us on the 31st of January 2026 from 1pm until 3pm for Art in the Park with an energising session of dance in the Learning Centre.
This session uses dance and rhythm in a way that’s accessible, inclusive, and confidence-building for all young people – especially those who might not usually take part in arts activities.
Rather than focusing on perfect technique, this workshop focuses on expression, teamwork, and energy.
It blends Musical Theatre, Tap, and Pulse-inspired movement to create a space where young people can channel energy and emotion through rhythm and movement; those who struggle with words can communicate physically and be understood; friendships and trust are built through shared creativity and every participant leaves with a stronger sense of belonging, pride, and self-worth.
The session with be led BHVA (Becky Hurrell Voice Academy) tutors.
