We have chosen to stay located at the Boulder Basin camping area again this year. It is the best open location for a group of our size (last year we had about 50 people). However, we want to keep it fresh to encourage participation, so we are going to offer up some new trials this year. The location in the event is accurate.
*** This is a MEMBERS ONLY event. If you are a member of our affiliated clubs OR a dues paying individual member you are welcome! If you are not a member, why not???? Lets fix that!***
This event is a thank you to our members for supporting us in our efforts across the state.
The itinerary:
Friday-
Arrive at your leisure. 7pm An optional night run for those that wish to explore will be organized.
Saturday-
9am we will run up the road to Washington Basin (This is not a hard trail, but is extremely beautiful.)
6-630pm soft start to Family Dinner, the Association provides the protein. This will be a Tex-Mex style meat [It is potluck dinner, so please bring your choice of sides and deserts.]
We are planning to have an added event before or after dinner. Stay tuned for details.
Sunday-
Depart at your leisure and please clean up after yourselves. Tread Lightly practices are encouraged. Pack in, Pack out. Leave it better that you found it.
*** Fire alerts will not be known until the last minute for that area, so out of precaution please no open fires.
Kids and Dogs are allowed, please use best judgement on behavior and animal clean up, and ensure you have a way to secure your pet.
Please be respectful of your fellow campers.
This location is suitable for campers and RV, there are no hook ups or running water on location. Lots of open flat ground for tent and Overland vehicles. I would like us all to be in the same general area, flags and signage will be posted. There is minimal, if any cell signal.***
