Build confidence on the water, learn essential boating skills, and make memories on Nimitz Lake. Using kayaks, you’ll get both on-land instruction and on-the-water practice to help you earn your Boater Education Certificate.*

After class, you’ll complete a free online test at boatus.org/texas to receive your official Boater Education Certificate ($11 fee for processing).
📢 Born after September 1, 1993? If you plan to operate a personal watercraft (jet ski, motorboat over 15 hp, or sailboat over 14 feet), you must be certified. It’s the law!
