*Kenyona “Sunny” Park* is a civil rights advocate, legal strategist, and community organizer dedicated to justice, inclusion, and democratic participation. Born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina—a city rooted in civil rights history—she studied government, philosophy, and African American history at Guilford College, where she co-founded an anti-racism coalition. She later earned her law degree at the University of Akron, focusing on civil rights law. Now based in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Sunny leads Kitchen Table Voters, a grassroots initiative that links everyday struggles—like food insecurity, housing, and healthcare—to electoral action and policy change. Her work draws from the same legacy of people-powered movements championed by the late Congressman John Lewis. Sunny has held leadership positions across campaigns, nonprofit boards, and activist organizations, always guided by the principle of “affirming the humanity in us all.” Known for her radiant spirit and steady conviction, she brings urgency, joy, and clarity to the fight for civil rights. She will speak in the memory of John Lewis—not only to honor his sacrifices, but to sound the alarm on the growing threats to the freedoms he bled for.
