Secret Garden Gala

On March 16th, a Kenosha community member lost her home to a devastating house fire. Lisa Grumbeck has been a Kenosha county resident for over a decade, and on top of being an active member of her community, raised her boys here. The home she lost was her children's childhood home, and the home she built her life in for many years.

In the fire, she lost everything. All her possessions were lost, and most of her cats never made it out of the fire. All she had left was her car (with no key, as it perished), the clothes she was wearing, and minimal sentimental items that managed to survive in her garage.

Although she has been in contact with relief programs meant to assist her in the aftermath, she is unfortunately stuck scrambling with many expenses including handling the home, getting back the essentials for day-to-day life, repairing any damages to her car, vet bills for her surviving cats, and more. This is a very difficult time financially, mentally, and physically for her.

Now, the Kenosha business community has come together to try and help! How? By throwing a Secret Garden gala to try and help raise funds to help Lisa get back on her feet.

At the gala, there will be dancing, entertainment, food, prizes, and silent auctions. There will also be a presentation, given by her daughter-in-law Sable, about the events that lead to the gala, the aftermath of the fire, and where the financial contributions raised will be allocated to.

The dress code is semi-formal or business casual! Dress your best and come dance the night away!

Jar tickets will be $8 each, $16 for 3 tickets, or $25 for 10 tickets. There will be 15 jars you can guess how many items are in them for a chance to win prize basket during this magical evening meant to help a dear community member. (There will be tie breaking activities in the event that multiple people guess equally close or the exact number).

There will also be donation boxes if you wish to donate essentials at the event (clothes, toiletries, food, etc).
