Extended Pentecost Vigil Mass

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful!

We will celebrate an Extended Pentecost Vigil on Saturday, June 7, at 8:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 714 49th Street. Following the Mass, enjoy a delightful reception in the Ministry Center with complimentary food, drinks, and desserts. Everyone is welcome, and there is no cost to attend.

Inspired by the Easter Vigil, this extended form includes four Old Testament readings, each with a responsorial psalm and prayer, tracing the Holy Spirit’s work through salvation history. These readings speak of God’s promise to pour out His Spirit on His people, culminating in the Gospel proclamation of Christ’s gift of the Spirit.

This extended vigil deepens our commitment to Christ’s mission, invoking the Spirit’s guidance and courage. Reflect on God’s deeds, unite in the Eucharistic celebration with Schubert’s Mass No. 2 in G Major, and renew your faith.

PLEASE NOTE: The 4:00 p.m. Pentecost Vigil anticipated Mass will be offered at St. James the Apostle on Saturday, June 7.
