Join us at the Layered Studio for a for a fun and unique cake decorating experience where you will learn how to build your own 6” Tiramisu cake and decorate it in a beautiful buttercream finish with decor. All materials and tools needed to create this cake will be provided by us. Simply show up ready to have fun, be creative, and eat cake!
In this class, we will cover:
The fundamentals of working with buttercream, including our tips and tricks on how to get the silkiest buttercream ever, how temperature is key to a smooth finish, and our recommendations on Swiss meringue vs. American buttercream
How to build a cake from scratch which includes trimming and torting the cake layers, moistening those layers with simple syrup, and filling the layers with buttercream.
How to properly frost a cake with a smooth buttercream finish.
How to create a raised/deckled edge
How to apply metallic accents and flowers

A 6-inch cake - in a Tiramisu flavor - that is ready to be assembled and decorated by YOU
