A gathering of like minded individuals riding bikes and listening to live music in a beautiful part of the Lake District. Plenty to do for the non-riding companions - lots of local walks and wild swim spots to enjoy!

3 VALLEYS CHALLENGE:
Staveley 3 Valleys Challenge (formerly The Sam Houghton Mountain Bike Challenge) is a timed charity mountain bike ride starting and finishing at the South Lakes Bike Fest. Starting in Staveley and covering the Longsleddale, Kentmere & Troutbeck valleys and taking in Garburn Pass.
Originally organised in memory of Sam Houghton, the event has raised over £200,000 for Cancer Research UK.
LONG COURSE:
30km | 772m Elevation | 70% Offroad
£20 Individual Entry | £70 Team Entry
The classic full 3VC route incorporates Longsleddale, Kentmere and Troutbeck Valleys in the English Lake District. This is a challenging route with a mix of long climbs, technical rocky descents and a bit of ‘hike-a-bike’ over Garburn Pass.
Open to individual riders and Adult Teams.
Electric bikes welcome.
SHORT COURSE:
20km | 480m Elevation | 66% Offroad
£15 Individual Entry | £50 Team Entry
The condensed 3VC Short route features 30% less evaluation and misses out the ‘hike-a-bike’ over Garburn Pass, while still offering fabulous riding through Longsleddale and the Kentmere valley. Includes challenging climbs, rocky descents and a few river crossings.
Open to individual riders, Youth/Experience Teams and
Adult Teams. Electric bikes welcome.
