These workshops are perfect for beginners, gardeners, food lovers, and anyone curious about making shelf-stable food from scratch. No prior experience needed.
Learn the art of preserving with hands-on workshops that guide you from fruit to jar! I have over 20 years experience and grew up along side my mom preserve. Each workshop is unique and takes place on a separate date, so you can pick what interests you—or attend both and enjoy a bundle discount.
Workshop 1: Jams & Wildcrafted Jelly
Date: September 7th
Time:10-12:30
Cost: $75
-Learn jam making with seasonal fruit and jelly that I have wildcrafted with local foraged ingredients.
-Quick intro to using an Excalibur dehydrator.
-Go home with 2 jars (one of each).
Workshop 2: Tomato Sauce & Salsa
Date: September18th
Time: 6:30pm - 9:00pm
Cost: $75
-Master tomato sauce and everything you can use it for all winter (I have a machine that removes the skins and seed) and fresh salsa using safe canning techniques in hot water bath.
-Tips for flavor and texture. We will talk about the pressure canner cooker.
-Go home with 2 jars (one of each).
