American Sprint Car Series "Don Swope Classic"

ASCS rolls into Creek County — the homeland of the American Sprint Car Series — for a $4,000-to-win program on Friday, July 18. Co-sanctioned with the ASCS Sooner Region.

Don Swope was a close friend of American Sprint Car Series founder Emmett Hahn and member of the crew that helped put on local events at Creek County as well as the Chili Bowl Nationals every January. The event honors his life and supportive legacy in the Tulsa area with the presentation of the $4,000 check, signature jean overalls, and a case of libations to the winner of the main event.

Sam Hafertepe Jr. took the checkered flag in the Don Swope Classic last year, and he'll be back this year to try and defend the win.
