Coming to Keighley this May is Rombald’s Rocks: Keighley Sculpture Trail!
Mr and Mrs Rombald have been throwing rocks again and one of them has shattered into 10 small pieces. The bits of rock have sprouted legs and arms and have run away to Keighley to embark on their own adventures.
Join us for the launch of Rombald’s Rocks: Keighley Sculpture Trail, on Saturday 24th May from 10:00am-4:00pm come and see the unique sculptures around Keighley town centre decorated by local artists and community groups, with the free trail map. Brought to you by Leonie Briggs and Keighley Creative taking inspiration from local legend, Rombald the Giant.
Launch Event activities are all FREE OF CHARGE and include:
Make your own rock creature workshop
Where: Keighley Creative, 3-7 Cooke Lane, Keighley, BD21 3PF
Time: 10:30am-3:30pm (drop in workshop)
Make your own cup and ring stones workshop
Where: Keighley Market, Low Street, Keighley, BD21 3PQ
Time: 10:30am-3:30pm (drop in workshop)
Rombald’s Poem performed by Irene Lofthouse
Where: Royal Arcade, Low Street, Keighley, BD21 3AQ
Times: 11:30am, 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm (all performances are no more than 30 minutes).
Rombald’s Rocks Themed Keighley Chorus community singing session
Where: Airedale Shopping Centre, 6-8 Bow Street, Keighley, BD21 3QQ (outside Boots).
Time: 3:00pm-4:00pm
Pop Up Folk - live music performances
Where: Keighley Town Centre
Times: Between 10am and 2:30pm

The Making of Rombald’s Rocks Exhibition
Discover how Rombald’s Rocks came to be, who was involved and all the amazing creativity that has gone into creating Keighley central’s first sculpture trail.

Open on Mondays 10am-12:30pm, Wednesdays 1pm-4pm and Saturdays 11am-3pm until 29th June.
