The Rock Cycle Class
Teaches fundamental skills all geologists or Earth Science enthusiasts should master to understand the type of rock around them. They learn how gravity and buoyancy interplay and cause the rocks to alter into different types. They also learn how to observe with a magnifying glass the texture, and what a rock is composed of.
The Moh's Hardness Testing Class
Teaches kids about hardness, luster, density and how to test minerals in the field. Kids get to scratch their rocks and test for streak while learning how atoms make bonds! Why does your diamond not get scratched by anything, we will teach you!
Fossils And Lithification Class
This class is filled with hands on, interactive experiments to learn how layers are deposited over time, how rocks and crystals form subsequently, and the marvelous process required for life to get preserved as a fossil!
These classes will enhance your curriculum and are optimized to the Texas TEKs for 1st-8th grade.
