Robert Gray and the poetry of place

On Saturday afternoon 28th June from 2pm-4pm, please join us and a wonderful group of Southern Highlands poets and actors, to celebrate poetry of place and the work of great Australian poet Robert Gray.

The afternoon will be hosted by Brigitte Ross (Kangaroo Valley and the world; poet, essayist, producer) with poets Peter Ramm (Robertson), Lindsay Tuggle (Kentucky and Bowral), and Mark Tredinnick (Bowral) and actors including Anna May Samson (August: Osage County; Return to Paradise) and Rob Carlton (White Lotus, Willing Participant) who will perform some of Robert Gray’s iconic poems.

Danny Ross will provide gorgeous contemporary music - some of it setting Robert’s poetry.

Ticket price includes afternoon tea – a warm drink or a glass of wine, something sweet and something savoury. The Upper River Hall will be toasty warm, the poetry sublime, an intimate afternoon with words, music and poets in the surrounds of Upper Kangaroo River, "under the mountains and beside a creek".

This will be a special afternoon.
