About the event

Theogony: A Recitation with Music

The Dionysian Public Library is thrilled to partner with Satellite Records for a recitation of Hesiod's epic poem Theogony! Its title meaning "the geneology of gods", the poem is an account of the Greek mythological order of creation: the birth and ascendance of the Olympians, the binding of Prometheus, and the ultimate battle for control of the cosmos against the Titans. Join us at the record store for a live reading of the text, with music before and after the recitation.
