Infinite Singularities is an exploration of inner-space lending way to discoveries in outer-space.
Navigating unknowns in the day to day has always been a practice in human life. The things surrounding the chaos of life have become a second thought, though they often facilitate the moments of connection and reflection that propel society forward. Infinite Singularity takes the critical thought and exchange from the gallery back into the living room, and invites the comfort of the living room into the gallery. Take time to ponder, share a moment with someone new, and discover the unknown together. So we might practice working together and reconnecting with small moments that make all the difference.
Zam Sonnenfeld is a multi disciplinary glass artist currently making work in Kalamazoo, MI. After spending many years on the torch in the American Functional Art Movement she earned her MFA focused in glass at Rochester Institute of Technology. She has taught at Salem Community College, Wheaton Arts, Carlile Machine Works, and more. And currently is the Studio Manager at Glass Art Kalamazoo (GAK). Looking at the future she hopes to help grow the GAK programs and continue exploring more thought-based works in the ever evolving landscape of humanity.
