Main Street Brews & Tunes will host musical guest Roxanne McDaniels this Sunday, August 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. on the International Storytelling Plaza. Juicy Butts BBQ food truck will be on site along with local brews from Main Street Cafe.
Roxanne McDaniel is an Appalachian dulcimer player and the host of Outside the Box on WBCM Radio Bristol. A graduate of East Tennessee State University’s Bluegrass program, her music blends elements of folk, country, Celtic, blues, rock, and pop to create a diverse tapestry of instrumental pieces, storytelling, and reflection. She also teaches at Jonesborough’s McKinney Center, where she shares her passion for traditional music with the community.
This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to ensure seating. Food & Brews will start being served at 4 p.m. There will be rotating food trucks and brews on tap each week.
Yoga in the Park takes place during Brews & Tunes at 4 p.m. in Jimmy Neil Smith Park behind the International Storytelling Center. Each class lasts an hour. There is no cost to participate; however, donations are welcome. All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced, and this series will be taught by certified instructors in the area. Participants can bring a yoga mat, towel, or blanket. These classes are weather permitting. Learn more at Jonesborough.com/yoga.
