Main Street Brews and Tunes will host musical guest Maggie Valley Band this Sunday, August 17 from 7 p.m. on the International Storytelling Plaza. Spanquis food truck will be on site along with local brews from Main Street Café.
The Maggie Valley Band, led by sisters Whitney and Caroline Miller, blends indie rock, country, and Appalachian roots into a sound that’s both heartfelt and raw. Based in North Carolina, the trio has toured extensively across the U.S. and Canada, sharing the stage with artists like Jason Isbell, Indigo Girls, and the Infamous Stringdusters. Their 2024 releases, I’m Gonna Die, Vibe Check, and Doomed produced by Matt Langston of Rock Candy Recordings, highlight their evolving style and emotional storytelling, with more music on the way in 2025.
This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to ensure seating. Food and Brews will start being served at 4 p.m. There will be rotating food trucks and brews on tap each week.
Yoga in the Park takes place during Brews & Tunes at 4 p.m. in Jimmy Neil Smith Park behind the International Storytelling Center. Each class lasts an hour. There is no cost to participate; however, donations are welcome. All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced, and this series will be taught by certified instructors in the area. Participants can bring your yoga mat, towel, or blanket. These classes are weather permitting. Learn more about Jonesborough.com/yoga
