We are proud to announce the Five-Year Anniversary Celebration of our grand opening! Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Jenna's House (117 St. Johns Street in Johnson, Vermont.)
We'll have delicious food, live music, and a ton of community fun! This celebration is open to the public. Whether you're a longtime supporter or learning about Jenna’s Promise for the first time, this event is for you.
Founded in memory of Jenna Tatro, who lost her life to substance use disorder in 2019, Jenna’s Promise was born out of a vow from her family that Jenna’s story would not end in tragedy—it would become a catalyst for change. Five years ago, that promise became reality with the grand opening of Jenna’s House, a community and recovery center that has since become the heart of a broader mission.
From One Building to a Statewide and National Model
Since opening its doors in 2021, Jenna’s Promise has grown from a single recovery center to a comprehensive Recovery Village model, combining housing, workforce development, clinical and wellness care, and public advocacy to help individuals build full lives in recovery. The model has drawn recognition across Vermont and beyond for its impact and its commitment to shifting the paradigm of how we support people struggling with addiction.
To mark this milestone, Jenna’s Promise invites the public to a community-wide celebration with local food, live music, lawn games, face painting, and resource tables from recovery and health organizations.
At 11:30 am, an Opening Ceremony will feature remarks from leadership of Jenna’s Promise, as well as community partners and state dignitaries—including Senator Kesha Ram Hinsdale, an early and steadfast supporter of the organization.
