Among the Bones, Beauty Blooms.
Step into the surreal at the Living Dead Market, where the macabre meets the magical inside one of New Jersey’s most unusual outdoor venues — the Historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery.
Beneath your feet, nearly two centuries of stories rest quietly. Around you, creators of the strange and spectacular bring new life to forgotten things. From skeleton-inspired jewelry and taxidermy art to preserved insects, ghost adoptions, and vintage oddities, this is no ordinary market, it's a celebration of death, art, and everything in between.
Founded in 2016 by alternative artist Brittany Graziosi, the Jersey City Oddities Market (also known as the Jersey City Alternative Art Market) began as a space for the weird and wonderful to thrive. Now, it returns to its most iconic location — a Revolutionary War battleground turned cemetery — for a day of shopping, discovery, and reverence. This event marks the first of only two remaining markets before Jersey City Oddities Market retires. You don't want to miss it!
Expect the Unexpected:
Ethically sourced bone art and curios
Handmade gothic and horror-themed crafts
Shadowbox insects and preserved specimens
Vintage fashion, antique treasures, and oddball jewelry
Tarot readers, spiritualists, and mystical wares
While bones and relics draw many in, it's the deep respect for the past, for nature, and for life's fragility that keeps people coming back. The artists who vend here don’t shock for spectacle — they honor transformation and nature.
All proceeds support the upkeep and restoration of the 6-acre Harsimus Cemetery, a once-abandoned space brought back to life through the devotion of volunteers and artists alike. Thanks to their efforts — and help from a few goats — the grounds are once again a place for the living to gather, remember, and create.
Come spend a day among the graves — and maybe bring home a ghost of your own.
