Join PFGF on Wednesday evening, July 23rd as we participate in National Moth Week.
This free event provides an opportunity to experience the extraordinary world of moths. There are some 160,000 species of moths in the world, with nearly 11,000 in the United States.
Check-in starts at 7:45 PM. Dr Kelly Zimmerman will share a wealth of moth and bug knowledge. There will be a demonstration of how moths are collected and studied.
Then PFGF will set up lights and provide attendees the tools to put out bait to attract moths. Observation begins around 8:45 PM as it gets dark. The event ends at 10:00 PM.
It will be dark when we observe the moths so, please be sure to bring a flashlight to safely move around the area.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
