World Migratory Bird Day / Día Mundial de las Aves Migratorías at the Ankeny Hill Nature Center

Interested in learning more about Fall migration, migratory birds, and how to make your home, school, or business bird friendly?


Join Ankeny Hill Nature Center staff and volunteers on Saturday, October 11th from 10am - 1pm at the Ankeny Hill Nature Center at Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge.


Parking is available at the upper parking lot of Gehlar Hall off Ankeny Hill Road or at the Peregrine Marsh parking lot off Buena Vista Road.

Join us for a bird walk, migratory bird activities, cool crafts, and make your own bird friendly kit for your home, school, or business!


Part of this event will take place outdoors so dress accordingly. Bring your binoculars! Extra binoculars will be available as well!
