Sunset Special!

Join us at Railtown 1897 for a rare sunset train ride behind the famous Movie Star Steam locomotive No. 3! Your evening will begin at the Jamestown Depot, where you will be greeted with a complementary Sunset Mocktail on the boarding deck where your romantic evening journey begins! Your ride through the scenic California Gold Country in the late evening light is the perfect opportunity to get that beautiful sunset selfie behind an old Steam train that you always wanted!

This ride will only be offered twice during our 2025 operating season on August 16th and 30th. The train departure time will be at 7:30pm each evening, so be sure to arrive early to pick up your Mocktail and tickets; boarding will begin at 7:15 P.M.
