Miyabi Koto Shamisen Ensemble, headed by Ms. Masayo Ishigure, consists of members of the Sawai Koto Academy - whose aim is to weave from classical to jazz, presenting the koto not only as a traditional Japanese instrument, but also one of universal expressiveness. They have performed in numerous venues throughout the New York Metropolitan area, the eastern United States, Hawaii, and South America. This performance will highlight Japanese culture through music, dance, and traditional dress!
