About the event

Children's Room Renaming Celebration
Join the Jamaica Plain Branch staff and Friends of the Jamaica Plain Branch Library as we rename the Children’s Room in honor of beloved children’s librarian, Barbara Rhodes.

Community members and others will speak briefly in celebration of Barbara, followed by a reception. The Friends will also unveil a newly commissioned work of art incorporating the ribbon used in the 2017 branch renovation reopening ceremony.

Cake and beverages will be provided by the Friends.
