The Loring Greenough House and the Footlight Club are partnering for a special opportunity for you to PROM HOW YOU WANT! PARTY AND PERFORMANCE!
On May 10, from 5:00 - 7:30pm, dress in your best prom attire, whatever that might be, grab your bestie, and party at the Loring Greenough House. You can dance your high heels off, enjoy fun photos and games, eat yummy party refreshments. Special drinks will be available for purchase from the Hive.
At 7:30pm, we will all boogie across Centre Street to the Footlight Club to watch the most amazing performance of the musical, The Prom. Based on a true story out of Fulton, Mississippi, the musical follows four Broadway actors lamenting their days of fame, as they travel to the conservative town of Edgewater, Indiana, to help a lesbian student banned from bringing her girlfriend to high school prom. While it is based on one specific story, similar discriminatory practices continue across our country today.
