If you are at least 10 years old and know a C chord on the piano, ukulele, guitar, or can play a basic drum beat on the drums, you can begin to compose your own pieces! Sign up for the beginner workshop! (10:00am)
If you are 10-14 and know a few chords on your instrument, there’s a workshop for you! (11:00am)
If you are age 15-adult and can play a basic chord progression on your instrument, like C-F-G, there’s a workshop session for you! (12:00 noon)
About the Instructor: Our own Johnna Day majored in Commercial Songwriting at MTSU and minored in music. She interned at a music publishing company in Nashville, and has co-written with many songwriters there. She has composed music for multiple short films, has an album and a single on Apple Music and Spotify, and she is ready to share with you what she knows about expressing music through original song!
You don't have to be a student here at Northpark Studio, and you don't even have to know how to read music, to be able to enjoy and learn from these workshops!
