Psiloritis, Crete’s highest mountain at 2,456m in the Ida mountain range
We will meet at Mygero Refuge and begin our ascent up to the peak. This 10km out and back route has 900m of elevation gain, mainly in the first 3km. The path begins with steps made of stone built into the mountain side and as this is a very popular route, the trail is well defined and fairly smooth with rock sections the closer we get to the summit.
The weather can be cold and windy at the top so I advise you to bring a long sleeve top or a windbreaker

Ψηλορείτης, το ψηλότερο βουνό της Κρήτης στα 2.456 μ. στην οροσειρά Ίδη
Θα συναντηθούμε στο Καταφύγιο Μυγερού και θα ξεκινήσουμε την ανάβασή μας προς την κορυφή. Αυτή η διαδρομή 10 χιλιομέτρων προς τα πίσω έχει υψομετρική διαφορά 900 μέτρων, κυρίως στα πρώτα 3 χιλιόμετρα. Το μονοπάτι ξεκινά με πέτρινα σκαλοπάτια ενσωματωμένα στην πλαγιά του βουνού και, καθώς πρόκειται για μια πολύ δημοφιλή διαδρομή, το μονοπάτι είναι καλά καθορισμένο και αρκετά ομαλό, με βραχώδη τμήματα όσο πλησιάζουμε στην κορυφή.
Ο καιρός μπορεί να είναι κρύος και θυελλώδης στην κορυφή, γι' αυτό σας συμβουλεύω να φέρετε μαζί σας μια μπλούζα με μακριά μανίκια ή ένα αντιανεμικό.
