Roll on down to Banshees Bar for a night of sea shanties and Scottish songs with Rebecca Wright & Donald McKay supported by The Salty Sirens.

Lovers of swell sea shanties and rollicking singalongs, The Salty Sirens are Kristy Capstanfield (vocals and accordion) and Elyse Fishpatrick (vocals and whale facts). Since 2021, they have been rocking boats the country wide with their flavour of sea shanties, SHE shanties and sea songs with a modern, queer twist, and now these sapphic sailors are sailing into Ipswich for a series of folk and shanty double bill concerts. Hoist the anchor and limber up those sealegs - these really aren't your grandpa's sea shanties!

The Salty Sirens are proud to present their musical mateys Rebecca Wright & Donald McKay.Rebecca Wright & Donald McKay's music has been likened to that of a good Scotch whisky: delightfully smooth, full of character and highly addictive. With songs and stories from the days of auld lang syne, Rebecca and Donald will transport you on a tartan rug to the historic land of heather, haggis and hairy cows.
