https://www.bestcoastpairings.com/event/oL5GgPd8paZx Please can all lists be uploaded by Wednesday 14th to allow up to put the pairings up in advance.
Here are some event details:
Arrival Time – 9am to 9.15am for registration, we’ll start rolling dice at 9.30am
Missions – We’ll be running the following Missions from the Pariah Nexus Tournament Companion - C, K, L, M, O (for the app)
Tables – We aim to use balanced boards and will be aiming to use the latest GW suggested set ups (based on the store terrain). Tables will be random so players will get to play on a number of different boards. The idea will be for boards to have a theme – I’ve attached some examples to this email.
Event Spirit – We all like to win, but we’re here for fun so please play in that spirit.
Painting Standard & WYSIWYG – All models must be to a battle ready standard. They must also accurately reflect they equipment they are armed with - What You See Is What You Get. There is a ‘Matt's Favourite Army’ Award for this event so if armies can be left out over the lunch we can have a look at them.
Conversions, Scratch Builds, and 3D Prints – Conversion are fine, but it should be clear what they are. If your models are heavily converted or scratch built please let us have a look to make sure that they are identifiable. 3D printed accessories are, if a full model is 3D printed this should only be done where GW does not make a current model.
Legend Models – As per GW recommendations, these models are not allowed in this tournament.
Rounds – We’ll play 5 rounds, winner is decided at the end of this. We’ll be using the GW recommendations for pairings and placings.
Timings – Each round is 2h45m. Do not start a new battle round with sub 15 mins remaining unless both players can get through their turns. The games will end when the time expires and you should submit the score of the last fully completed Battle Round. When a game ends the scores stand as are, there is no talking things through and all game actions must follow the usual rules i.e. rolling for things, no assuming that units will die or assaults will go to plan, dice will often betray you, hence why talking turns does not work. We have a large screen on the wall that will tell you the time remaining on the round. Some players like to use chess clocks which is fine, but please remember the games lasts for 2h45m this doesn’t mean that both players are entitled to exactly half the time, a player running out of time will not impact their ability to play the game. If you are having an issue with time keeping please call the TO.
Player Numbers – There is a cap of 20 people for this event. There are tickets still available, we have 18 players so far.
Rules Etc – Please bring dice, tape measures, etc. Please also bring a copy of your list as well as official copies of any rules that you will be using (digital or physical)
