The Bluff Hill Climb is part of our Shoe Clinic Series.
Seniors will start at Stirling Point and run to the Summit, 1.6km.
Juniors will start at Gunpit Road and run to the Summit, 1.0km.
A mix of gravel track and stairs, 95% uphill but with a few undulations, this course will suit road or trail shoes. Although short, the 1.6km Senior race is probably the equivalent of around a flat 4.5km run. Runners will start at 30 second gaps in a 'time trial' format. NOTE: this is a one direction run, up the hill, but your effort will be rewarded as the view from the top are stunning!!
Athletes are asked to PLEASE AVOID PARKING at Stirling Point. Seniors may be able to park at the Summit and jog down as part of a warm-up, alternatively park in Bluff and jog to Striling Point. Junior parents are encouraged to park at Gunpit Road and drive to the Summit once their runners have started.

Spot Prizes will be given out at the Shoe Clinic Race Series Events. Races 1-7 on the calendar.
The costs to enter these events is:
• All runners/walkers registered to a NZ Athletics Club-FREE
• All other runners/walkers $5 per race, or $30 for all 7 races
• To be in with a chance of winning a bonus spot prize make sure you attend the last
event and prizegiving on September 6.
