Dancefloorguru

Former Southland exports Nik Lucka and Regan Bennett return to Gadoochi brewings new live venue at 17 Bond street on Saturday 26th July with Dance floorguru. The band including Tony McDermott on drums, play a high energy dance oriented fusion of rock, ska and funky reggae. Following a long absence from the deep south, the band is looking forward to catching up with friends, old fans and attracting some new interest, sharing material from their self tilted original album and new material to test the dancefloor.
The original album was likened to David Byrne at a dub festival dragged onstage with the Electro 6. The bands new material continues to combine an element of story telling in the lyrical content, on top of the solid high energy grooves the band is best known for.
On 26th July Dancefloorguru are supported by Southlands influential music artist Shaun Kirkpatrick.
