Each summer at Wesley Woods, young lives are transformed as they encounter the love of Jesus through worship, community, and the beauty of God’s creation. Behind every hike, devotion, horseback ride, and campfire are faithful, passionate young adults who have answered the call to serve. Before the first campers arrive, we invite you—the wider United Methodist connection—to come, pray over, and bless these leaders at our Camp Staff Commissioning Service.

Reception to follow in the Hospitality Room
This meaningful evening of worship, blessing, and community will commission the Wesley Woods summer staff for their ministry. These staff members are not just summer employees—they are disciple-makers, mentors, and spiritual leaders who will shape the faith of hundreds of campers this season.
Why This Matters
Camp ministry isn’t separate from the work of the Church—it is the work of the Church. The seeds of faith planted at camp often bear fruit for a lifetime. Many campers hear their first call to ministry while singing around the fire or journaling under the shade of a tree. And the summer staff who guide them? They are stepping into ministry leadership, often for the very first time.
By participating in this Commissioning Service, the larger Church:
Affirms that camp ministry is vital to our mission of making disciples.
Strengthens the connection between the local church and camp—reminding staff they are not alone in this work.

After the service, join us for a Meet & Greet Reception in the Hospitality Room where you can enjoy refreshments, connect with the staff team, and hear more about the exciting things God is doing at camp.
