Participants (18+) will learn steps to prevent an opioid overdose, how to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose, information about naloxone and how it works, how to administer intranasal naloxone, and what to expect after administration. Also includes a brief review of the opioid health crisis, current conditions and trends, naloxone laws, and how to access naloxone. Kevin Davis, MPH, Purdue Extension HHS Educator, will teach the course. Participants need to be at least 18 years old.
