£6 per class paid termly, £8 PAYG. New starters can pay for a trial class and top up.
Wednesdays at St Mary’s Academy offer a fun & friendly environment for you to learn in, and the lovely, big floor allows you plenty of space to glide around and boogie on down. The 45min-class format lets you break your learning up into bite-sized chunks and focus on developing quality in your dancing.
Ballroom & Latin - the first class is great for anyone taking their first steps or aiming to become proficient social dancers, whilst the second class is aimed at social dancers with prior experience who are aiming to take their dancing to the next level. Major learning goals include good posture & partnering skills, with a focus on leading & following. Classes follow a termly schedule, letting you tackle two dances each term.
Cuban Salsa & Rueda - Come and learn an addictive style of social dance as we bring a little Caribbean heat. The first class is great for anyone who’s a fan of spicy dips and saucy hips; whether beginners or refreshers, you’ll aim to master the fundamental movements that you'll need to unleash your inner salser(o/a/x). The second class is aimed at salsa dancers with prior experience who’d like to focus on more advanced combinations and develop their partnering skills. Major learning goals include partnering skills with a focus on leading & following, and having fun with your dancing!
