Instructions:
In celebration of the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District’s 100th Anniversary, this week’s activity will put your outdoor skills, knowledge of local parks, teamwork, and observational abilities to the test!
Working in teams, you will participate in a Centennial Scavenger Hunt throughout the parks and green spaces managed by the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District. This fun and interactive challenge will take you on a journey through the history, beauty, and community spirit of our park system.
There will be three types of items on your scavenger hunt list, each worth a different number of points:
• Collection items (C): Find a specific object in a park and bring it back with you when your team turns in your completed list.
• Photo items (P): Locate landmarks, historic features, or scenes in the parks and snap a photo with your team.
• Question items (Q): Dig into the history of the parks to find the answers to trivia questions related to the district’s 100-year legacy.
You don’t have to complete the entire list, but the team with the highest score at the end of the event will win a special Centennial Prize!
Get ready to explore, discover, and celebrate a century of parks and recreation in Huntington!
