Description:
A series of eleven low-head dams with accompanying locks were constructed on the Muskingum River in southeast Ohio between 1836 and 1841. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers assumed responsibility for the locks and dams in 1887 and maintained the structures until the 1950s when responsibility for the system was returned to the State of Ohio. This presentation focuses on the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) approach to improvements to the overall Muskingum River Parkway lock and dam system and includes aspects such as costing, schedule, and risk reduction. Please join this presentation that includes a fantastic stroll down USACE memory lane!
