From New York You Don't Get A Divorce is a new musical comedy that follows Jamie and Charlie, a classic older married couple from the Upper West Side. Feeling caught in same old routine decades in the making, Jamie must decide on her birthday brunch at Barney Greengrass to either follow the big ideas that have been pulling her - and indelibly change their marriage and careers - or stay in Manhattan and feel trapped by her husband’s curmudgeonly eccentricities and their bathtub in the kitchen. Through heartwarmingly real and funny moments in a plot you could plotz for, snappy songs and lyrics based on Lou Craft’s published poems in the New York Times, From New York You Don’t Get A Divorce shows us it’s never too late to write a new chapter, and to always order the latkes.
