About VPO

Viva Palestina Orchestra (VPO), founded in November of 2023 in Austin, TX, performs Palestinian cultural music. The orchestra’s repertoire centers around Palestinian and Levantine heritage preservation, which aims to celebrate culture, poetry, resilience through music, storytelling, and community engagement. Comprising musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds, the VPO ensemble blends their voices to uplift Palestinian narratives and lives. Since its inception, VPO has performed in multiple venues across Austin, including The Museum of Human Achievement, Empire Control Room, Riches Art Gallery, The Vortex, Hotel Vegas, Spiderhouse Ballroom, Far Out Lounge and Kenny Dorham’s Backyard. This multigenerational collective shares the vision that music, culture, storytelling, and poetry can unite and heal, while raising awareness of injustice and racism.

This event is free and open to the public, but due to gallery space limitations, RSVP is required.

MATCH does not own parking facilies but there are a few options in the area to consider. The MID MAIN GARAGE is covered parking with attendents and is the suggested parking for MATCH. It is located directly across Holman Street from MATCH. There are entrances off of Travis Street and Holman Street.
