Acres Homes Annnual Juneteenth Parade

The late Congressman Sylvester Turner created the Acres Homes Juneteenth Parade 14 years ago.

This year his daughter, Ashley Turner Captain, will carry the mantle by hosting the parade in his beloved community.

We are honored to have Bun B as this year's Grand Marshal.

Please join us on June 21st at 10am to celebrate the Juneteenth holiday. The parade will begin at the Acres Homes Multiservice center and go down W. Montgomery where it will end at Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

We are excited to feature over 100 lively entries including marching bands, dance teams, floats, classic cars, equestrian units, DJs, and local organizations.
