Together with North Yorkshire Council, we are developing a new plan for Hawes and we and we want YOUR voice at the heart of it:
• What do you love about living in or visiting Hawes?
• What would make it an even better place to live, work and explore?
• How do you see the town evolving over the next 5 to 10 years?
Please come and talk to North Yorkshire Council's Community Development team on Wednesday 24 September to help us identify the biggest challenges and the most exciting opportunities to improve the town, enhance the environment, and create spaces and services that benefit everyone.
Community drop-in session:
3:30pm – 5pm – Market House, Hawes
Business drop-in session:
6pm – 7.30pm – Market House, Hawes
In terms of these sessions, there will be ‘stations’ set up in the hall based around the questions in the survey (what’s strong, what’s wrong, what could make things better, what changes would you like to see happen in the next 5 to 10 years). There will also be some prompt cards to get people thinking about Hawes and what it means to them, what views they have regarding the built, green environment, the services and accessibility, the economy and tourism etc. and also some maps (street view and aerial views) of Hawes if people find these useful in stimulating conversations and ideas. And of course there will be refreshments! 😊
If you have any other thoughts that would be useful to build into the sessions, please let us know.
