Tonka Cycle & Ski
416 11th Avenue South, Hopkins, United States
Event Details:
The route is 95% crushed limestone bike trails and 5% paved trails in Carver itself (nearly any bicycle will be adequate) and we will ride at a social/leisurely pace. That puts us in Excelsior by 11:00am for coffee/lunch, arriving in camp a little after noon. Plenty of time for setting up camp and optional mountain biking at Monarch MTB trails adjacent to the campground so ride your mountain bike if you wish to join that part of the adventure.
We are planning to bring food to share and ask folks to bring some extras to share.
Lake Auburn Campground is accessed by the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail. Campsite amenities include a commons area with a fire ring, picnic tables, hammock posts, bike rack and all the other nearby facilities of . As drop-in sites, no reservations are available. Camping fee is $10 per tent per night, the site can accommodate up to 10 tents.
Participants are otherwise expected to supply all their own gear. Full recommended gear list provided below and in the registration confirmation email.
