Bombs Away: The Bombers of World War 2

Technology had an extreme rapid growth during World War 2. It became a war in itself: who can create the better weapon the quickest. Joe will discuss the different types of bomber planes used in WW2, how Kansas played a pivotal role in their creations, and different Hope residents who manned/fixed these icons of history.

Joe Hirsch is a local historian with the Hope Community Museum. He has spent several years learning about the area and creating exhibits in the museum. He is also a history and theatre teacher at Herington High School.

This is a free program. Refreshments will be served afterwards.
