Support the mission and ministry of The Salvation Army in the Solomon Islands by participating in our Red Shield Appeal Walkathon:
1. Participation
* Participants may register as individuals or in teams (registration is FREE)
* Participants choose a distance and route that suits their level of fitness
* Participants can choose a set route in each distance categories (map provided by organisers)
* Participants may choose their own route wherever they are participating (local or remote)
* Participants to complete chosen route anytime during the weekend of the Red Shield Appeal
* Participants collect sponsorship from within their networks of family & friends
2. Sponsorship
* Sponsorship categories: GOLD, SILVER, BRONZE
* Sponsorship amounts to be in the currency of the sponsor (SBD, AUD, NZD, USD, etc.)
* Participants to give sponsorship directly to District Officers or bank into The Salvation Army Solomon Islands Account
3. Corporate Matching & Donations
* Company/Organisation are invited to match sponsorship amount raised by their employee/volunteer/member participating in event
* Corporate donations to Red Shield Appeal will be welcomed
4. Prizes
* GOLD – most money raised in 20 km category (individual & team)
* SILVER – most money raised in 10 km category (individual & team)
* BRONZE – most money raised in 5 km category (individual & team)
5. Publicity
* Event branded caps will be provided to all local participants to wear during Walkathon (subject to available sponsorship)
* Team branded shirts are welcomed to be worn to promote organisational support
* Team photos and selfies wearing event caps will be used for promotional purposes
