Join us for a mid-week escape from the urban jungle on a healthy, and social hike up Dutch Path & Lane, then over Wan Chai Gap and around Aberdeen Reservoirs. Meetup at 7:10 pm for a shared taxi or at 7:30 pm at Bowen Road to start the hike.
Planning/time:
19:10 meet at The Kinwick Centre at 32 Hollywood Rd in Central just below Pure Fitness for a share taxi.
19:30 Start hike from Mothers Choice at the intersection of Magazine Gap Road and Bowen Rd in Admiralty. This is the same place that the Saturday morning OutRunners meetup for their workout.
Route:
We will take off from Mother's Choice at the start of Bowen Road. We will walk down Bowen Rd. for about 1 km and then turn up the Dutch Lane trail and then left onto Dutch Path. That will take us to Wan Chai Gap where we will then head down and around Upper Aberdeen Reservoir, over the dam and then alongside Lower Aberdeen Reservoir. There's a good chance of spotting some wildlife and we will pass by numerous streams and small waterfalls along the way. The hike will end in Aberdeen where there are mini-buses, buses and taxis that we can take to get back to the MTR or home.
What to bring with you:
- torch/light is a MUST
- water/electrolytes
- Octopus card and some cash
What to wear:
- hiking/running shoes
- jacket (in case of rain/wind)
