We are excited to welcome back leading photographer Ali Ghorbani from Ali G Studios for a follow-up workshop focused on creating stunning food photos and captivating portraits using just your smartphone.
Ali will share his expert skills and practical tips on the art and technique of food and portrait photography. Participants will learn how to use lighting and composition creatively to capture mouth-watering dishes and beautiful portraits that stand out. Ali will also guide you through finding your best angles, directing your subjects naturally, and bringing out the personality behind every portrait.
The workshop begins with a seminar session where Ali covers essential techniques and principles for food and portrait photography. Participants will then have the opportunity to practice these skills with some food displays. Afterwards, the group will head outdoors for a portrait photography field session, applying Ali’s methods to create expressive and natural portraits in real-world settings.
Following the practical session, Ali will introduce the best free smartphone apps for editing your photos. He will demonstrate how to enhance your images with easy-to-use tools and provide personalised advice to improve your shots, turning your photos from good to exceptional.
