About This Event

Join us for the Women Are Veterans Too Summit, a powerful gathering hosted by the City of Homestead and the South Dade Women Veterans Alliance (SDWVA), in partnership with the Miami-Dade Beacon Council. This impactful summit is dedicated to elevating the voices of women who have served, honoring their sacrifices, and addressing the unique challenges they face during and after military service.

SDWVA is the only organization in South Florida solely focused on the needs of women veterans. Our mission is to support, empower, and connect women veterans through trauma-informed care, leadership development, and holistic community engagement.

This year’s summit also marks the launch of the Post-Traumatic Growth Initiative (PTGI)—a groundbreaking movement designed to help women veterans move beyond trauma and reclaim their purpose through healing, growth, and resilience-building strategies. Together, we are shifting the narrative from post-traumatic stress to post-traumatic strength.
