Help Bring Homer’s New Concrete Skatepark to Life! 🛹
Join us Wednesday, August 21 at 5:30 PM at Homer City Hall for a Parks & Rec meeting that could help shape the future of recreation in our town.
We’ll be sharing a presentation on the benefits of building a modern concrete skatepark — not just for skateboarders, but for the entire community. Topics will include:
Youth mental health & wellbeing – giving kids and teens a safe, healthy outdoor space to gather and be active.
Community pride & beautification – a thoughtfully designed park that becomes a visual asset for Homer.
Tourism & economic impact – drawing visitors and events, just like other successful skateparks across Alaska.
Inspiration from around the state – examples of other communities that have invested in quality skateparks.
This is your chance to show your support, ask questions, and be part of making this project happen. A strong community presence will help move the skatepark forward!
