In our top local story, the Gagra Secondary Alumni Association is gearing up for what’s being called a landmark Career Talk, set for next month's September 12th 2025. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between school and the working world, bringing students face-to-face with professionals, successful alumni, and mentors to spark ambition and guide career choices.
Association Chair, Oscar Omondi, emphasizes the bigger picture:
“We want students to see that success is possible and that they have support from those who came before them.”
Behind the scenes, preparations are in full swing – fundraising drives, planning committees, and volunteer recruitment are all underway. Organizers say the day will feature motivational talks, skill-based exhibitions, and interactive mentorship sessions designed to leave a lasting impact.
“Think of it as a career bootcamp – inspiring, practical, and tailor-made for our students to dream big and aim higher.”
